We did have a great summer. This was the first time we've been to Hilton Head… we LOVED it, and I would HIGHLY recommend it. It was a great family place, you could do as much or as little as you want. We went in June, and it was fabulous because it was warm and sunny the whole time. Previously we went to Kiawah every year, which is about 45 miles north of Hilton Head, so I am familiar with the weather even though this was first time at Hilton Head. I think June is just about the best time, because any earlier may not be hot enough to really be in the ocean a bunch, but any later and it is HOT HOT HOT. May would probably be really nice too, though…. we went in March one year when I was in high school and the beach was pretty chilly. We stayed in a house in the Palmetto Dunes area and LOVED it. It was big enought for everyone to stay together and we had a pool… my kids were in heaven!
