It Happened This Weekend…

What happens when you hurriedly pack  for the weekend because you’re going to special meetings in another town?  You bring the baby’s play shoes but forget the church shoes; you bring your 3 year olds church shoes but forget his play shoes.  After 6 kids you’d think…I’D HAVE IT TOGETHER!!

While we’re at said special meetings Justus (age 3) went to the bathroom, locked the door and then couldn’t get out. 

At this church the bathrooms are in the foyer but there’s nothing separating the foyer from the sanctuary.  Serenity was waiting for Justus to get out of the bathroom.  My husband was wondering what was taking them so long and went back to check.  Since song service was going on Russell had to put his lips up to the crack in the door to talk with Justus. 

"Justus?"

"Yes?"

"Other people need to use the bathroom.  Unlock the door." 

He couldn’t do it so the deacon and Russell ended up taking apart the doorknob to get him out.  When they walked in Justus stood there holding the other half of the doorknob, his hands covered with lotion. 

Kids – you just gotta love ’em.
