I also use my kids names on my own blog, but I do not use our last name, and I don't give out the town where we live. I know some people won't post photos of their kids either, but I do that too. ( It's a nice way to share them with relatives that live far away!)

I guess my reasoning went along the lines of simply being tired of just using a first initial. So, my children are :Chelsea, Jacob, Becky and Matthew. I am now referring to them as such on my blog. 🙂

I know it can be a stressful decision as to whether or not to use first names.

I've decided that as long as I'm not too specific as to where we live, I'm pretty safe. So, I do the same as you do. I just give first names.

It is just so much easier to keep track of everyone when you know what to call everyone.
