Do you have any ideas on how now to show brush marks? Also, on the chalk paint, there is a recipe on Pinterest on making your own. (It is quite expensive, I think). I haven’t read any reviews of someone who used the homemade kind though.

In reply to Mary. If you're just wanting to paint your headboard it is pretty easy. But it's still intimidating when you don't have much experience. Have you heard of chalk paint? It sounds like an amazing paint which you can use directly over your wood without sanding. You'll have to check it out. And then there is the wax they use that can give it a whole new look. Pretty neat stuff. But of course, I've not used any of it yet. haha
