Where Can I See the Face of God?

How we long to see our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The one who died for us and redeemed us from our fallen estate. My heart longs to see him on that Great Day that is not  too far distant.

But as I was expressing to Him how much I long to see Him, in my heart I felt He spoke and said, “But you do. In my people.” “Everytime you see my children, you are seeing the face of God.”

Matthew 25:

35For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

36Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

37Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

38When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

39Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

40And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Everything we do for others is doing it not just for that person, it’s as though we are doing it for God.

Do you weary from always serving others? As a momma, it’s so easy to get tired out with all the demands motherhood places on us. More diapers to change, dishes to wash, laundry to be folded. But with a right attitude we will find our task seems different. We will gladly fold the laundry, knowing we are doing it for Him. We’ll be joyful when it’s time to do the tasks that are set before us.

Then God’s glory can be seen in our life.

We find that the ordinary is not so ordinary after all.  We’re living a extraordinary life. Serving Him. Seeing the face of God in the dirty faces that need to be cleaned, seeing the face of God in our mind as we prepare another meal for our hungry family, seeing God in all our responsibilities.

Our fingers will move lightly and happily as we dwell upon this wonderful thing. God’s image is what we are seeing everywhere we turn.

What would you do if you knew you were looking on the face of God?  Would it change your attitude or what you are doing now?

Thank you so much, Sarah. I love writing and would do it even if no one read my blog but it makes it much more fun to have others come along with me. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. I appreciate it when someone takes the time to leave one.
