This is really similar to a ginger cookie that I make that's one of our family's favorites.

You had asked in the comment you left on my blog if I make most of my gifts. No, I don't. I've been working on an astral lions cross stitch for my oldest for over a year and I'll probably still be working on it this time next year. LOL I made him a ragged quilt a few Christmases ago and he loved it. I hope to get one made for the youngest this year. After that, ideally I would like to make each a quilt every Christmas.
